      My first thought on seeing this was, good idea, but why is the timeframe so long?  It seems evident to me that we need to be off fossil fuels in 20 years and we need to fully commit ourselves to doing just that.

      This is one reason why I hesitate to sign the petition in its present form.  It seems to me to be too little, too late.

        This is saying 100%.

        It all depends on when you truly start and on what trajectory. It's something like 5-6% per year, as I recall, and that was a year or two ago. By any measure, it's steep and it gets steeper every year we dither.
