  •  When will our politicians stand up to the reign of (6+ / 0-)

terror imposed by the NRA and, sadly, even apologists for their cause among us?

Then they came for me - and by that time there was nobody left to speak up.

over-reaction & crackdowns in schools.  The general population which has bought into the "rights' of others to have such outlandish firepower, privately owned in the general population, might start to realize it's cost.

Kids and parents loosing historical freedoms so the gun nuts can have the freedom to have Bushmasters and the 100 shot clips which go with them?

Our local school district allows our sewing group to meet one evening a month in a classroom.  We have made storage bags for several elementary classrooms (a homebrew pattern for a particular type of chair) and heatable rice bags which are used by the local hospital for mothers in labor.  What about schools being used for adult ed?

Why do some love their guns more than the children in their area?

    •  Meh. One party is partly owned by the NRA. (2+ / 0-)

And at my more radical moments, that makes me believe that we need to purge our party of gun fetishists.  I know that's neither realistic nor strategically wise, but... fuck.

This has really radicalized me, but I hope that it's changed other people too.  I'm no longer agitating for the Second Amendment to be read properly; that's a lost cause with Thomas, Scalia, Roberts and Alito on the bench.  Repeal and replace.  Or just repeal.  Its time was served over 150 years ago.
