  •  While their faith in the Constitution (0+ / 0-)

may be whole, complete, and total my faith in those currently interpreting it is not. The purpose of the Constitution was to form a functioning government that could protect the common welfare. When one of the amendments is at odds with that we have a problem.

It's your INTERPRETATION that one of the amendments is at odds.  RKBA folks believe in the right to arm themselves to the same level as their potential attackers helps protect the common welfare.  Let's just hope you don't find yourself having to run and hide behind one of them someday when a crazed gunman has his sight set on you.

is nothing more than pathetic fear-mongering. To even say such a thing shows just how devoid of logic people have become. I expect Repubs to base their policies on fear and intimidation but it's disgusting to read it hear on DKos. Shame on you.

        •  Right. (0+ / 0-)

Anti-gun folks have no fear of anything, right?  It seems pretty obvious they fear ALL gun owners, which is behavior expected of people with lower IQs who lack the ability to understand reality despite (falsely) thinking they do, whereas gun owners realistically appreciate the threats represented by only the dangerous ones (those with mental problems, alcohol issues, criminal intent, jealousy issues, testosterone imbalances, etc.).  Until you've successfully removed weapons from the possession of ALL these people, you'll never convince decent people that they must remain vulnerable to them on your mere (unsubstantiated) opinion that they're "just fear-mongering".  If the world is so goddamn safe, prove it and go now and unlock your homes' doors ... and leave them that way.

Nothing I wrote justifies you making that kind of claim. You're being ridiculously broad and you don't speak for all gun owners either.
