and only then in response to a comment pointing out that you weren't participating in your own diary when you HAD to have known you would be kicking a hornet's nest in your choice of topic.  Claiming to have been forced to wait until lunchtime, after posting at 9:49am, then not commenting until 3pm, isn't cutting it as an excuse.

    •  3 pm? Looks like noon to me. (0+ / 0-)

Are you saying that everyone on this site must live in the same time zone you do?

      •  It showed at 3:01pm on my computer. (0+ / 0-)

The point was one should not knowingly kick a hornet's nest while at work then pretend work prevented one from being able to respond.

        •  Time is expressed to your own time zone (0+ / 0-)

It said noon on my display, because the display is set to each user's time zone. Take a look at your profile.  This is standard in most environments with comments from users.  It's is standard in email.  This is standard pretty much all over the Internet, as long as there is some way to reference where the user is relative to the Greenwich Meridian.  It's called UTC and each place in the world is given an offset from it.

Speaking of kicking nests, maybe you should have looked into the possibility that the author didn't live where you did.
