I spent most of the first term upset at Obama: health care, gitmo, wars, not doing what he could do, and compromising unnecessarily with Republicans.  He felt like a Reagan Republican to me.

When Romney came along I felt Obama was the luckiest guy on the planet.  A "sensible" Republican would have beat him.

I sure hope Obama does not disappoint again, even before his second term starts.

Go off the cliff and veto stuff that doesn't make sense.

PBO is doing a competent job, but he needs to be more liberal.

    •  What makes you think Obama has changed? (7+ / 0-)

He's never been a progressive.  Everything came out that was progressive was because of Nancy.

Happy little moron, Lucky little man.

      •  Not only isn't he progressive, he isn't liberal, (7+ / 0-)

nor center left, nor center.  He's center right.  Even less moderate than the traditional moderate Repubs.  But he sure talks a good game when it's election time.

So many thought he'd show his real, progressive side when he became a lame duck second termer.  There's a better likelihood is his real right-wingish feathers will be what we see.

The pure out-and-out cynicism of this.  He knows what people want him to stand for, and want to believe of him ... so he manipulates and obliges because he knows that if he's honest about himself on the stump, he won't win:

"My fellow Americans, if you vote for me and I win this election, next month I will propose cuts in Social Security to John Boehner!  And I will also propose raising the tax cut limit to $400,000 instead of the $250,000 which the polls show all of you support!  Thank you!"

            Funny that.
