Im 45.  My wife is 46.  We both play as much if not more than our kids.  The PS3 - mine.  The Wii - hers.  The PS2 - mine.  The PS1 - mine.  The Game Cube - hers.  The Atari Flashback - mine.  Before that a Super Nintendo, Sega Game Gear, GameBoy and an Atari 2600.  Some time in March the OUYA will be mine too.  And of course I have had games on every computer since I first sat down in front of a TRS-80 Model 1.

I play everything from Bejeweled to Call of Duty to Oblivion to Jetpack Joyride.  And I play a LOT.  Despite that I have yet to give in to an uncontrollable urge to line up jewels, frag my neighbors, cast spells or strap a jetpack to my back and fly though a building.  I also dont chase gorillas to save a princess despite playing every Donkey Kong game ever.

Blaming video games?  So I guess we never had gun violence before 1972?  And considering how many millions of hours have been spent playing Mortal Kombat how come no one is ripping spines and hearts out of random members of society?

And in the interest of full disclosure I own a gun but unlike the idiots proclaiming the "need" for 150 round magazines, I can hit what I want the first time.  And unlike most of the idiots, I can do it while someone is shooting at me and not wet my pants while crying like a baby.  I would love to put these "gun advocates" in real combat and watch them void themselves the first time someone shot back at them.

I have also fired things most in the Gun Fetish World only have dreams about.  You might think you are tough with your AR-15 or your Desert Eagle but thats all child's play compared to reaching out and touching someone at 3000 meters with a 120mm Armor Piercing Fin Stabilized Discarding Sabot.  And I have done that while firing a stabilized .50 Cal plus a coax 7.62mm while calling in artillery. Of course when you are in control of 72 tons of Abrams Tank its more fun to run over idiots.
