    written in stone, it can be amended. It may be an impossibility with this court but some time in the future.

    Just the way this issue is being shelved until 2013 is not a good sign for gun regulation. In Australia it took them 12 days from their last gun massacre to coordinate all levels of government for gun regulation. The regulations have worked.

      yes, some of them are fringe rightists...but it's the public and congress that are the problem with repealing or modifying the 2nd amendment via a constitutional amendment--not the court.  If a challenge were brought against said repeal, then the Court could be involved.

      But we're the ones to blame--we, and the politicians who represent us.
