a lesson after losing 2010 midterms by the largest margin EVER, do primarily to the public souring on his "bi-partisanship" and not showing leadership.  We will see and his actions will hurt not help down the road.

about the midterm elections. I'm no longer convinced that he does. My cynicism meter has been pegged for quite a while now. He got re-elected, and will continue to govern as a moderate Republican because that's essentially what he is.
I voted for him knowing that because a moderate Republican is better than a rabid one, and those were my choices.

I'm sorry, but that's not why we lost the 2010 Midterms. You may not remember this, but we actually passed MASSIVE legislation in the first two years, and much of it was wholly partisan. (Which didn't matter because it was the right thing to do)

We lost in 2010 because the GOP were fired up, the economy was still bad and now we owned it in the minds of too many voters and because in lower turnout midterm elections, our voters are less likely to turn up.

and now it will be Social Security.  Republicans will spend hundreds of millions reminding everyone just whose vote this was.
