was strong this time. It will be really strong next time.
It will be strongly in favor of protecting children over protecting some guy's gun fancy.

These last few years have really gotten the attention of the firearm manufacturers. They have designed and brought to market entire new lines specifically for women. New colors, like pink. Lighter versions of existing designs. Entire new inventions, like holsters made to secure inside purses.

Women are not a monolithic group, and a lot of them have been getting armed.

I think you are probably correct that more women will be supportive of a new AWB and politicians who support it.

But, I also think you would be surprised how many women own guns and support gun rights.  They are not quite the minority you might suspect -- it really isn't just a guys' fetish impulse that so many like to prattle on about.

      •  Guys tend to be the ones "going off" and killing (0+ / 0-)

a bunch of people. Or am I missing some statistics.

Women tend to be victims of male violence, more often. That's one reason they might be inclined to buy and learn how to use a gun.

We're not talking about responsible gun ownership, we're talking about the hysteria-stoking of the NRA.
