correct, "Obama's coming for your guns".

That's all they'll hear for the next four years.  Doesn't matter if an AWB get's bi-partisan support, doesn't matter what Fox News's Murdoch said last week. Nope, it will be our undoing.  All the things we've fought for will end.

And good points about leaving the crazy person on the street undiagnosed and ready to rumble with the demons in their minds which ends up being us, the American public.

We'll still pay the price when they go to further extremes, then the new meme will be, "Suck it up baby", uttered from our Republican Overlords.

We must demand fully funded mental health services for all if we want to actually make a difference.

Care to listen to screaming rants claiming obama sat in the situation room smiling while our guys in benghazi were tortured to death?
Care to listen to yelling rants about dems using mind control rays to steal the election?

That was the wild shit they were going on about when there was not one tiny shred of reality to support it.

I am truly ready to vomit at the thought of what profoundly bonkers stuff will be howled into the podcast aether now that they can play audio and video on loop to support their statements. And they will be howling, actually howling.

Fuck, the naivety of the people on this site is giving me a migraine.

          is giving me the flu.

Ok, I might have gotten that somewhere else, but you might want to consider the fact that when we put together our platform, it generally isn't written to placate the wing-nuts.

          Or is that naive?

The last minute addition of mentions of god in the most recent platform, just as the right wing republicans were beginning to attack the so-called godless dems?

I do believe just in the past year we saw some of the dem platform crafted just because it would placate the wing nuts.

          •  Your accusation of "pompous concern trolling" (4+ / 0-)

is pompousity itself, reflects an unwarranted certainty about what is and how to pursue the progressive agenda and is an intellectually lazy and undisciplined characterization of a point of view that you disagree with.

I expect you can do much better, flu or not.

Hell, the only time I haven't voted for a Democrat was Nader in 2000.
I simply will not support any infringements on Constitutional Rights.
I didn't support the assault on the 4th, when the GOP pushed for Warrantless Wiretaps
And I don't support the assault on the 2nd.
I will NOT vote for anybody who attacks any Constitutional Right.

Those who would sacrifice liberty for security deserve neither.

          from the last election.

The lesson that should have been learned was that the base wins; getting Ds excited is more important than keeping Rs from hating you. 'Cause, you know, they're gonna hate no matter what you do. The Ds don't need Independents to win; they just need Ds to show up and vote.

Passing gun control won't cost the Ds an election. Do nothing, and letting the moment pass, might.

And since when do we go about intentionally proving the republicans correct????

Is that what we do now to be "good democrats"???

I'd rather stay in power and make everyone's lives better by real change and progress... not help the republicans will elections...
