  •  Listen buddy, I don't give a flying F what (0+ / 0-)

the other comments say. I'm giving you my opinion.  You don't like it then move on, - you said what you had to say. If an armed guard didn't help increase security they wouldn't use them in banks and other institutions that have them.  I'm not saying it is a cure all for the safety problem in schools, or that it is practical for schools, but it does improve security, just like some of the other things I mentioned.

    •  And let me add. I personally wouldn't choose (0+ / 0-)

to use an armed guard for schools, but I would bar the ground floor windows and have people enter from only one entrance where they could be observed and communicated with before they were allowed entry during school sessions..  Such precautions probably 1would have stopped the Connecticut shooter.

not giving a flying fuck and all. But most of us who comment here do care what others say and assume they want to hear each side when they put out public comments. Perhaps you could just add that you don't care about hearing any other view but your own so please don't answer me? Funny though, teabaggers have that same attitude.

I can assure you I had already "moved on" immediatly after reading your incorrect comment which certainly isn't original, it's what the NRA has been lying about for years.

So, buddy mine, I'd suggest you either keep your comments to yourself or expect some kossacks to disagree. That's just the cruel world intruding on your closed space... it's called DKOS.  :)

America could have chosen to be the worlds doctor, or grocer. We choose instead to be her policeman. pity

      •  To say that adding an armed guard does not improve (0+ / 0-)

security at all is not true - was the original point of my comment.  It certainly would.  Would I choose to do that? No.  I would choose other strategies before I would do that.  Just because you want to totally say an armed guard wouldn't help at all because Wayne LaPierre suggested it doesn't make it true.  And I don't want to argue about an armed guard because there are other measures which could have been taken to prevent this shooter from entering.  If someone is able to enter a building with a rifle in plain sight then there are measures that can be taken to improve security.  And frankly, people better think of some strategies because I wouldn't hold my breath until Congress does something about gun control.  Even if they did it wouldn't change the threat anytime soon because there are so many guns out there already.

      •  What have you suggested Nothing. And if (0+ / 0-)

something happened to your child you would be wishing someone had done something, anything, even an armed guard.
