    Some are not dimmable, and some are.

    They're changing so fast that you never know what you'll see next week. Internally, they usually use a constant-current power supply (LEDs are intrinsically highly non-linear w/ varied voltage), and the type of (internal, built-in) power supply in the bulb entirely determines the dimming characteristics. With types not designed for dimming, putting them on a dimmer may damage the power supply.
