    You have to understand that people with depression get better. That the first thing you try might not help. The second thing might not. But if you keep trying, something will probably help.  You won't always feel this lousy.
    Thinking clearly is tough, when you can't think clearly.

    And drug cocktails often only make things worse.

      your own thoughts.

      So getting the idea across ahead of time to everyone that this is how depression works. This is how it feels. What it makes you think is true.

      I'm saying, we have time before we get depressed and before it gets bad enough that we want to kill ourselves, to get help. To understand how it works. To know to ask for help and hopefully have access to help.

      People being open about their experiences with depression are important. Saying I've been there, and I got better. Those are powerful messages.
