or Representatives read even a portion of the Patriot Act before passing it in the fall of 2001.

This was not an unusual event - the men and women we send to Congress almost never read any of the actual bills.

How can we expect these people to make reasoned decisions about the laws of the land, when they enact Laws they don't ever read first?

They vote based on what their fucking staff (many of whom have been three or four go rounds between Federal Employee and Corporate Stooge) tells them the Bill says.

So, yeah, I think that is asking too much of these people.

    But it's fucking wrong, nonetheless.

Act over an ice cream truck loudspeaker was an epic moment from a highly distinguished cinematic career.

Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream of things that never were and ask why not?

wait, was that Farenheit 911 or Capitalism-A Love Story?

I think Mr. Moore should get the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Obama.

        He has certainly earned it.

        Bowling for Columbine (2002)
        Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004)
        Sicko (2007)
        Capitalism: A Love Story (2009)

Michael Moore is the Upton Sinclair of the modern era, and a personal hero of mine.
