    France, Germany, the UK, and Austria-Hungary were basically free democracies. They had no business going to war with each other.

    Now a war against only Russia, a backward, brutal, anti-Semitic totalitarian state might have brought about some improvement. Unfortunately Lenin proved worse than the Czar and Stalin worse than Lenin.

      That was the end of the International workers movement in effect.  The war accomplished very much!

      An idea is not responsible for who happens to be carrying it at the moment. It stands or falls on its own merits.
