  •  Wow, why the venom? (7+ / 0-)

Did you not get what you wanted for Christmas? It may well be a meaningless gesture, but if it draws attention to the issue, isn't that what we want? Most already rightfully believe the GOP is responsible for the situation, so if Starbucks can get more people aware of their obstructionism, isn't that a good thing?

And opportunistic? Ummm, Starbucks is already one of the largest brands in the country, I doubt this is going to really give them any awareness they didn't already have.

This seems at worst harmless and meaningless and at best drawing attention on the "bad guys", so I'm not sure it deserves the ire directed at it here.

While they post their comment?  Does that change your feelings on the matter?

credit.  This is typical corporate hackery, content free BS from Starbucks.  How does it draw attention to the "bad guys"?  People who are apolitical will draw the typicall right wing MSM conclusion - "both sides are to blame, both sides need to compromise, except the Republicans, because they have principles and we like politiicans with principles"  blah blah blah
Very tiresome sophistry from the people who proudly sponsor a dangerous demagogue like Joe Scarborough
