With the weather in the 20's and still a bit of snow on the ground I've been mentally counting down the weeks until I can work in my gardens again.

I have an Aerogarden and got the seed starting tray a couple of years ago and it does a great job with all of my seeds.  There are around 70 seed slots so it takes a while to diagram it all out but I've had pretty good luck with it.

The heat last year was brutal and the experience at least helped me figure out what not to plant this spring.  The tomatoes did okay but didn't produce much so I think I'm only going to put in a couple of Roma plants.  The acorn squash did great so that's going in again.  I'll put in a few various pepper plants, some peas, and an herb garden.  The alpine strawberries also did okay (a little too okay, as they're now edging my lawn, which is fine) so I'll try them again.

I put in tons of tulips last fall, I can't wait until they bloom!  I'm so ready for spring!

you don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows
