  •  I used some copper for this problem (3+ / 0-)

    Some is even 'organic.'  I think the trick is using it sparingly.  And then pruning the tomatoes so that the leaves aren't close enough to the ground to get splashed from water from watering or rain.

    Also...if tomatoes are struck by blight, potatoes are affected by the same disease.  So don't plant potatoes where tomatoes were located if diseased.

    I am also in Maine and was hit by that awful blight a few years back.  Lost almost everything in my garden.
