It's possible to be "right" in ways that are fundamentally dishonest and pointless.  And the fallback position is usually some claim to being "nicer" than the other guy.  And there's a lot of anger that turns the crank.  Romney is a good example of how quickly the passive aggressive song and dance wears thin.   It didn't work for him, it wouldn't work for us.

        •  Again, This Site Is About Electing Democrats (0+ / 0-)

There was a time when Dems could not get voters to spit on them, let alone get their votes, because they were dominated by purity trolls and screechy control freaks.  Many of them went over to the GOP, which is now being destroyed by the purity trolls. Heck they even got the simpering enablers with daddy issues (Kathleen Parker). With the Dems in the drivers seat for now, inevitably the pendulum will swing back, but I'd rather not see it happen this week.

            soph·ist·ry
            [sof-uh-stree]
            noun,
            1. a superficially plausible, but generally fallacious method of reasoning.
Considering your unwarranted persistence, seems you could use this definition.

            Cheers.

      •  "We" didn't do this. (0+ / 0-)

        A newspaper did.

        Good lord...
