have an idea that might solve everything, Jobs.

    •  Yeah, that'd be nice. I've been w/o a perm job (5+ / 0-)

since Nov 2011. They want me to buy into this "new working condition" where I get screwed and accept less $$ for the work I've been doing for 25+ years. I'll die before I give in to that fucking.

      •  I would have a new working condition for them (3+ / 0-)

been asked to take a wage cut a couple of times til the economy got better, each time my only thought was can I continue to provide for mt family at my new wage?
since I could I agreed andlater got my wage cut back with a raise. I guess I am lucky since money has never been a driving force in my life, doing without a few luxuries isn't really that bad once a person gets used to it.

I have too much pride and really want my family to respect me so I won't do what you did. Throughout the years, my work product and work ethic has earned me a livable wage.

Have fun lapping up the next table scraps "the company" throw to ya.

very much like someone that thinks physical labor is beneath him, I hope that your pride will put food on the table.  I also hope that you get that respect from your family as I can tell you from experience that it is pretty nice to have. Good luck in your quest for that almighty dollar.

            •  I was raised on it and have labored physically all (0+ / 0-)

my life. You see, I come from the corn and bean fields in IL. I wash my own car, change my own oil in said car, cook dinner, clean my house, raise my children and mostly work in an office during the day.

You know nothing. I'm no stranger to "real work." But, I do expect to be compensated for it. If that's a "quest" for the "almighty dollar" then, yep, I'm questing.

well compensated for what I do but it isn't in an office. I am paid for my skills and my knowledge in a field that not many go into  with little or actually no competition companies pay me well. I have done well enough that I own enough land that I can hunt and never leave my own property. and no it is not covered with "notrespassing signs  anyone is welcome to hunt and I have never had a problem.
