    that's pretty much what his district (the 7th) consists of: Belmont, Medford, Lexington, Arlington, etc.

      in the redistricting he got part of Boston

      after decades of being in the historic Massachusetts 8th, it is an adjustment to be in the 7th

        unless we are looking at different maps, Markey doesn't represent any of Boston (the closest he got is a chunk of Cambridge). the reason you're in the 7th is because the districts got renumbered.

          I don't even know what that means!

          in the redistricting (which takes effect next month, remember) my area of Boston is now part of MA-07 (along with quite a few other Boston neighborhoods).

          Even Wikipedia has it

          so yes, we must be looking at different maps, and you must be looking at a map that does not include the redistricting.
