    Thanks for writing it. I'll keep F.A.S.T. in mind for future reference.

    I run a blog with a small community of regular posters and one of our most productive bloggers just had a stroke a month or so ago and is recovering well. Still, it was a bit of a shock, because he's only a few years older than me and I still think of myself as a young pup. Someday soon that delusion will surely pass.

    I'm going to see my Mom next week. She's 88 and still in pretty good shape mentally, but I foresee a path ahead not too dissimilar to what you described with yours. I will cherish every moment she has now of clear thinking and decent health.
