  •  That's kind of a confusing post. (0+ / 0-)

I see from you signature that you are an Occupy promoter, but that post?

You're not really expressing your point in a way that I can understand.

Which is too bad because I might agree.

    "Jersey_Boy" was taken.

    •  The point was and is there is no leadership. (0+ / 0-)

That one can Mic Check and GA 'til the cows come home, but unless action follows that... then what's the point?  And, action never did follow that becuz there was no leadership.  That was and is the point.  I was/am one of the "point men" of our local yokel group for what that's worth.  But when "the faithful" think protesting in the public square, is, well, so last century...

      •  There has been and is ongoing action (0+ / 0-)

Sure, it doesn't get a whole lot of news, but there is still action going on.  And leaders aren't going to make action happen any more than people would.  I mean, what's stopping you from doing something?

The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.

        •  It was your Diary here on the G.O.S. (0+ / 0-)

with a Link to some ad in some magazine asking people to show up on Oct. 17th that got me jazzed for this thing. I thought it had potential. But the total lack of anything resembling leadership dampened it rather quickly. Still, it did more good than not, and will make the history books for having at least opened the discussion.

Old age, aches and pains, old car, lack of funds... the list is long. But, show me a flicker that this thing might still have legs and I'm there. I just don't see it. I gave it a year and got little in return as far as anything remotefully resembling support. But, thanks for that Diary! I'm disappointed that we accomplished squat, but would do it all over again.

      •  No leadership, no transparency, no organization (0+ / 0-)

the parallels with Tahrir Square are striking. Egypt is now blessed with a theocratic dictatorship. It is only because of the American people that we avoided headed in that direction here, and no thanks to Occupy, which was completely irrelevant in the election.
