    uncovered an assassination plot and didn't bother to promptly contact and warn the intended victim(s) before the agency was able to thwart the plot. Unless of course, they were able to thwart the plot at the same time they discovered it -- which seems highly unlikely to me -- which consequentially would have left the intended victims in real danger for a period of time.

    That alone is a damning indictment (and seemingly a purposeful breach) of standard FBI protocol.

    A reasonable extrapolation from there would seemingly disqualify "terrorists" as collaborators in the plot.

    Something weird's going on here.
