    ...that you would also see no constitutional problem with a ban on forms of speech (including forums such as DK, blogs, FAXes, email, Tweets, cell phones, landlines, TV, radio) that are more advanced than those available at the time the Constitution was ratified.

    Advanced (high speed and wide distributions over long distances) communication mechanisms such as these clearly can aid in fomenting public unrest (look at the Arab Spring for examples) and violence.

    I'm not sure where to draw the line on the Second Amendment, but your proposal is a non-starter because it could be used to decimate other enumerated rights depending on the bias of the judges making the call.

      mention, it is also ridiculously insulting to the actual people who wrote the Constitution and BoR.....

      Hell the reason or one main reason we won the Revolution is we used modern new Rifles, weapons that could reach out accurately to 300+ yards while the English used smoothbore muskets that werent accurate at 50 yards and did it from close rank which just gave our farmers a great selection of targets that stayed still and wore a damn target on their chest....

      To think that these men, scholars and inventors, never considered the advance of technology is flat ridiculous on its face.....
