    i missed the peas and lettuce season outside. so glad i got the rhubarb. your garden looks wonderful.  we have to get creative now.

    side note: since i haven't seen a toad in the neighborhood (20 years here), i figured they were only in backyard ponds and sposedly heard but not seen in the rouge watershed.

     imagine my delight at finding a mid-sized american toad today in the middle of a hot dry city park.  

    i have wanted a backyard pond for sometime too, so this is inspiring. i will see what a toads-only habitat/pond requires.  i think the fish might eat tadpoles. i am getting ahead of myself. first i need another toad. for now i have a fine toad habitat set up with plans for the backyard to keep it happy and healthy.

    it wasn't persecution by a liberal government that persuaded the earliest immigrants to escape to the Americas.
