    it was the bills republicans passed at the end of Clinton's term and beginning of Bush Jr that almost took down the world.

    if regulations weren't loosened and the modernization of financial markets/entities was properly regulated then it would not happened.

    if the republicans were able to get their hands on social security in his second term, then they probably would have been able to push the problem down the road a few years.

    that would have been another great depression.

    -You want to change the system, run for office.
