    So tax rises go on now and there is basically no cuts, and then we will negotiate the sequester? And that is a bad deal?? I'm missing something here but not sure what (yeah 250 better than 450 but other than that)

      It's that if we go anything higher than $250k we'll never have the upper hand and we'll never get the House back. $250k is what the American people overwhelmingly want. It's a sacred cow at this point. Lindsay Graham pulled up his big girl panties yesterday and said that he wasn't worried about the $250k because he knew that "the Democrats will cave to $400k or even $450k." FUCK HIM. There needs to be a hard line on this if we EVER expect to appoint anyone to the Supreme Court, have a voice in budget negotiations, Senate rules, etc...

        Of the difference in tax revenue if we go from $250K to $450K?  Because that delta gets shifted to cuts, probably to social services.
