    demanding that they "do their jobs" and come to an agreement on the fiscal cliff. As evidenced by the current negotiating positions of both sides, any such agreement will cause austerity measures to be invoked.

      but yes, it will be spun into meaning that they long for Social Security cuts
      anyway, most Americans still think Obama is protecting their Social Security and Medicare from the Republican onslaught.

        I hear it in daily conversations and I see it on many Facebook pages that aren't particularly liberal or conservative.
