  •  The Utah state legislature makes my head hurt (1+ / 0-)

Recently, the Utah State Legislature has passed both 1070-esque regulations AND a guest worker program (that the feds would not approve).

Don't ask, it will make your head spin trying to keep track of your shennanigans.

The biggest convention center in Utah, the Salt Palace, is in danger of losing the Winter and Summer Outdoor Retailer conventions.  The convention hall isn't big enough.  And when our state legislature isn't writing immigration laws; they are trying to approve oil drilling and mining in federal wilderness areas.  And the Outdoor Retailers don't like that.

It does not help Arizona that Las Vegas has even higher unemployment.  Any place in Las Vegas with 4 walls and an air conditioner has dumped rates.  You can stay in a 3-star Vegas hotel room on a weekday for less than it cost me to go tent camping in Idaho.
