    over the fiscal curb.  And he certainly never promised to go over it unless the rethugs gave him exactly what the Dems wanted.

    I'm certainly not going to say I think he reached a great deal with the agreement to avoid the fiscal curb, but he did get the majority of the Dems primary goal - getting taxes on the very wealthy raised while making cuts for the low and middle class permanent.  

    The debt limit being raised is in a completely different class than tax rates.  The latter have always been something that has had to be negotiated between the parties; the former is something that the rethugs decided to use as a hostage only with this President.  So hopefully the President will indeed handle the two quite differently as well.
