  •  Interesting to see if it will work. (8+ / 0-)

Problem with being subscription based is one hair on fire article (Andrew is prone to such now and again) and he'll lose subscriptors in protest.  A non-refundable yearly subscription makes more sense as a business model then - so nobody can quit you in a heated disagreement, but rather reflect yearly on if you offer them their monies worth.

I agree, I dig the "If you're not paying for the product, you are the product being sold." line.  He should incorporate that into his byline or something.

    •  Well given the fact we signed (7+ / 0-)

On for a year I'm not sure how true that will be.

And frankly I read more hair on fire stuff here than over at the Dish.

And as a side note he was as of 3PM he was signing up 36 subscribers per minute.

Why is it that, as a culture, we are more comfortable seeing two men holding guns than holding hands?

that he has "melted down" several times.

People like writers with passion, zest, and commitment. So it probably comes with the territory. We've had a few writers like that too, here, if memory serves me correctly. Or so I've heard.

Did you notice 240 posts a week? I wonder if that is his whole team because that's a lot of posts? I'm feeling lazy now.  He must write shorter posts than I do. Or be a heck of a lot faster writer.

So you make a good point about annual non-refundable subscriptions.

    •  That's what I was thinking. (0+ / 0-)

People will read a blog they disagree with just to scowl at it.  (I know I do).  But they won't PAY to scowl.
