Hawk until Little reminded me with a link.  Now I wish I had put in one of those proviso like " this post is not an endorsement of Andrew Sullivan's sometimes extremist and conservative viewpoints.

Dang, jsfox.  I had hoped I could use Now for Something Completely Different to relax and have anonymous low concentration fun without consequences like the good ole days.

Thats one of the reasons I set up the HoundDog account. Because in the world I inhabit in real-life every word one utters, and often even the ones you don't are entered in a permanent record and everything has so many consequences one has to be cautious and constantly concentrate to imagine unintended side effects of a countless possible varieties.

How is it possible that I now seem to have recreated the exact same situation here for my anonymous HoundDog account?

Maybe as HoundDog I should set up "super double secret anonymous" account somewhere where I can just do stream of conscious to my hearts content.  And, delete the accounts as soon as I develop any reputation,, or influence on others that we can predict with 100% certainty I will almost instantaneously become attached too and start to manage in a constant state of anxiety about hurting others feelings, or saying non-brilliant remarks, or ....... thousands of things that are stupid to be worrying about.

Yes, this is the ticket.  Maybe I'll come back as GoddnuoH and start over.

damn war - it was knee-jerk reaction to 9/11 - everyone was so afraid to not seem "patriotic" and Cheney and Rumsfeld, etc were playing on it.  Republicans calling anyone who dissented a traitor while they were passing the Patriot Act.  It was disgusting and terrifying.  It's what brought me to this community, and I'm still here so many years later because Republicans are even more disgusting and terrifying.  I remember asking then when the moderates would take back their party.  How naive I was.

Republicans: You can't slap the stupid out of them, and you can't smack the smart in to them.

imagine we would still be paying so much to continue operation in both countries.  At least, we got our troops out of Iraq.
