    "Beethoven Festival" diaries back in 2011, I had some extended discussion about Beethoven's bipolar disorder and all the "Then He Flew Into a Rage..." anecdotes there were about him.  I pointed out how interesting it was to just google beethoven + "flew into a rage" and how I found incidents I hadn't heard of that way.

    Well, something I didn't know turned up.  Tests on locks of Beethoven's hair now show that he suffered from lead poisoning for some parts of his life.  It helps to explain some of the rage in his music.

    So, less lead poisoning = less violence, but less Beethoven.  What a quandary.
