  •  In Baltimore there have been problems (9+ / 0-)

    related to lead in the dirt at playgrounds or schools from nearby highways.  Even though it has been decades since leaded gasoline was banned, the lead remains in the soil from the exhaust of the cars prior to the ban.  Of course, most of these schools and playgrounds near big highways were in the impoverished areas of the city.  There has been an entire generation of kids going through the school system with lead-related issues.
