  •  My personal RKBA favorite... (7+ / 0-)

was the one where Indiana passed a law allowing a person to shoot a police officer if they believed he was doing something unlawful. The RKBA group was in full support of this law.

It seems only a few short months ago that if you suggested police have their pensions cut you would get Hr'd into oblivion. But a law allowing people to shoot cops was cheered. Infiltrated is a good choice of words!

    •  The law closed a loophole, didn't it? (3+ / 0-)

I thought it was closing a loophole that made it ton where a cop could essentially go rogue and sue his victim if they tried to defend themselves.  From my understanding, the law had almost nothing to do with guns in a specific way.

      •  you are right, it does nothing like what was said (3+ / 0-)

and it isnt any type of first like the antis claim, here in Az you have the right to self defense even against a police officer if he is illegally abusing you....

Reasonable person and fear of death or severe bodily harm is the qualifier and before the loophole was closed, an off duty cop could beat you to death and if you attempted self defense you were charged as police had complete immunity just for being police......

to people defending themselves from criminals, no matter what uniform they wear.

Are you seriously saying that people have no right to defend themselves against criminals, as long as those criminals have the blessing of the state?
