And Hagel is replacing Panetta who replaced Gates, who replaced Rumsfeld etc.

But Jack Lew is next at Treasury in the coming days.

Interesting that Rice and Flournoy were finalists for State and Defense respectively.  And Lael Brainard is very highly thought of at Treasury and was passed over.

Lew leaving means an opening for Pres Obama's Chief of Staff, maybe one of his deputies are promoted their.  But even there Ron Klain gets the most mentions.

There is an opening at EPA, Energy will have one as well.  Commerce still needs to be filled.

If Holder leaves, Napolitano is mentioned.

President Obama would have been a Republican in the 1980's.

I'm surprised her name hasn't come up more. The thing is, through the process of proximity and actual exposure to Beltway chatter, speculative reports in the D.C. media tend to be closer to the mark than my online brainstorms.

Keeper of the DKE glossary. Priceless: worth a lot; not for sale.
