  •  OMG! belinda, you are (10+ / 0-)

always welcome here.  No smoking or previous smoking is a requirement.  We just love fun folks -- and I know for a fact you are truly fun.

That antipasto looks fabulous!!!  I think it was during one of the intermissions of the Met's Don Giovanni (I saw the summer encore after seeing it in NYC for the Oct. 29 2011 blizzard) where either Renee Flemming or Debbie Voigt interviewed the food prop guy.  Fascinating -- some real food and some fake.

So happy you joined us -- please, come anytime.  We are truly funny once the rest of the nutz get here.

that this is a funny group! Thank you -- I appreciate the invitation, and will pop in when I can.

I was the one who badgered the theater group into doing that show. It had a number of good points, but one was, there was a ton of food in it, most of which was easiest to deal with if fake. I spent many happy hours making side dishes and plates of various pastas out of the same modeling compound used for the salami and cheese. The Veal Milanese was cut from craft foam, dipped in a light wash of diluted Elmer's, and coated with actual toasted seasoned breadcrumbs. Sadly, this made it smell tasty and annoyed the cast.  ;)  Sorry I missed the interview with the food prop guy -- sounds right up my alley!
