  •  Certainly Obama is much better than his current (0+ / 0-)

reputation. He has an army of detractors on our side of the aisle who will, in hindsight, get the fact that they are wrong about him and his performance.
Much the way that Carter has grown on people since he left office.
    Whether he's the BEST?
How can you really quantify? Specially at this close distance?
FDR literally saved the US from economic collapse, saved the world from Hitler, set up an economic system that lasted better than 60 years that made US the richest country in the world, top to bottom. That's a tough act to top.
Johnson's unfortunate war obscured the fact that he made huge strides for Civil Rights, poverty reduction, public health and his wife was instrumental in the public awareness of environmental issues that bore fruit under Nixon as the EPA. If you can separate LBJ from the war, he was a giant.
I believe that Obama will be seen in the future as having been one of the most progressive Presidents we've had to date, as "conservative" as people here would like to characterize him, it's just a damm shame that he was saddled with the TeaBagging GOP goons in Congress, obstructing his every move.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!
