      as opposed to NYC.  NTC has about 1 officer for every 200 people, in Oakland it's about 1 cop for every 800 people.  Not to mention the fact that NYC has an average of 132 cops per square mile whereas Oakland has 8 per square mile.

      Stop and frisk only works as an oppressive tactic because the NYPD has such a massive force and is so overpowering.  In Oakland it just wouldn't fly.  Not to mention the reaction of a lot of people here.

      The revolution will not be televised. But it will be blogged, a lot. Probably more so than is necessary.

        Alan Blueford's death was the ultimate consequence of a de facto stop & frisk.

          as it has in NYC.  A police state only works if you have enough police.  It will still suck ass, or it will continue to suck ass as you note.
