can be inadmissible, even if one or another does run past its particular statute. I could be wrong. But I think RICO can drag things in from any time if they are mixed with something current and show a Corrupt Organization's patterns.

suggested use of RICO here comical. RICO is for people who show a pattern of criminal behavior including a history of arrests and convictions. What my friends tell me is that it is very difficult to meet the tests of RICO when they applied them to drug cartels and organized crime. All the RICO talk here is a joke.

      "let's talk about that"

      •  Might be "very difficult" but then (0+ / 0-)

        that's a piss-poor excuse for not doing one's job isn't it?

DoJ could have had dozens of arrests and convictions of Bankers, but they cut deals instead. The shareholders pay a fine; the bankers get healthy on their profits, and laugh as they share coke with their hookers and insider info with their accomplices.

That last bit isn't hyperbole, either.

So "it's hard work" and "we need convictions but we can't get those because we always cut them a nice deal when we catch them doing major crimes" added together tells us something.

Not to insult your friend but his reasons are pretty thin, no? The only reason the RICO talk here is a joke is because the DoJ is, like many here keep saying, ... a joke.

I could see it's hard to flip the lower orders in the hierarchy because maybe your family ends up dead or even beheaded.

But traders at a desk on Wall Street? I don't think so. Just sounds like more "but it's hard work" to me.
