    I never really thought about the nexus between lobbying and the filibuster, though in retrospect it's pretty damned obvious. But to see a lobbyist out there essentially pimping out Republican Senators who will sell their filibuster is disgusting.

      Works for other types of crimes than homicides, though I am sure most of those actions described above did result in real deaths and injuries.  Murder for hire might be a better way to describe what these so-called "Senators" are doing.  It certainly qualifies as a protection racket.  Tony Soprano for Senate?
