I got the impression that he said that the left was moving toward accepting pedophilia in the same way they had accepted gay rights.
I appreciate the diarist using every opportunity to Stop Rush, I am linking to it all the time on Facebook. I think the media conglomerates are largely responsible for the horrible state of discourse in America is right now. There are places in Texas I wouldn't visit right now, where I felt comfortable fifteen years back.
However, I read that article when it came out and was extraordinarily puzzled by the lede, which was:

Paedophilia: bringing dark desires to light
The Jimmy Savile scandal caused public revulsion, but experts disagree about what causes paedophilia - and even how much harm it causes
    The third paragraph reads:
A liberal (emphasis mine) professor of psychology who studied in the late 1970s will see things very differently from someone working in child protection, or with convicted sex offenders. There is, astonishingly, not even a full academic consensus on whether consensual paedophilic relations necessarily cause harm.
If you read the whole thing beginning to end, you will see that in certain quarters, pedophilia is considered a sexual orientation like homosexuality. Canada and the Harvard Mental Health Letter are mentioned specifically. The last 15 paragraphs contain rebuttals to this position, but if you have been abused as a child, as I was, it is very hard to get to that point without steam coming out of your ears.
I suspect it's just as difficult for a person whose professional persona relies on his ability to go off half cocked. We should cut Limbaugh's legs out from under him whenever we can, and if you read the entire article, a case can be made here, but in my own opinion, his misinterpretation can be understood if not justified.

put together to sell newspapers. Just the sort of thing Rush would be attracted to - sensational trash.

Opinions from the past about affects of sexual behavior on children are bogus.
Too many references in the article are from groups trying to justify their predatory actions against children.

It's crude to say, but in biology, males don't care where they 'stick it' or who gets harmed or affected by their sexual actions.

I noticed not one of the opinions in the article was from a victim of pedophilia.
      That's a pretty glaring omission.

There was a previous diary regarding Rape Culture - it needs to be widely read as it speaks truth.

Something that doesn't make good sense, makes bad sense. That means someone is being deliberately hurtful & selfish. Look for motives behind actions & words.

It was very much below the Guardian's usual standard, but you see what I mean? If you have been a victim, or even know one personally, 'glaring omission' doesn't quite cover it. 'Heinous' might come close.
