FindingMyVoice, Scott Wooledge he was always faithful to his wife, his children, his friends, his sister, his mother and everyone he encounterd.  His loyalty and faithfulness were something we wanted to stress at this memorial as that is who he was. And the Marine Corps was a huge part of that for him.

my son was thinking of when he joined up.  My dad, a SeaBee, served with the Marines in the Pacific during WWII, and you couldn't breathe a bad word about the Corps anywhere within earshot.  Same goes for me now, too :)

Comfort the afflicted. Afflict the comfortable.

determined to be a devoted father and husband. We always knew we were his top priority.  I was so glad that I was able to tell him that he did it well and he accomplished his goal. He was dying after a long bout with cancer and the last time I saw him in hospice a day before he died, I said..

Dad you did it all and very well. I could not have asked for a better father. You were such a good father.
He said, I hope I have been.
I said, You were the best, You can rest now and know you did a great job at the thing you most wanted to ...being a faitful , kind, loving, and good man and father.
