    thought, although I can't say I learned anything I didn't already know from it.  And I'm not sure who's missing the point.

    It's hard to square the recent election results with the conservative idea that government=bad. Just because conservatives think so, is no win in the argument in these days in which the GOP is more and more seen as losing its relevancy to who America is.

    But the point of my diary is that putting politics aside, AIG is now guilty of looking incredibly DUMB and unconnected to the zeitgeist of our current culture.  That their actions and lack of needed action in this last week is business at its most stupid and incompetent.

    And who cares what conservatives think about it?  America and the media is not on their side in this, and if AIG couldn't see this going in, well, they're just as incompetent as Mitt Romney was, and it's not going to be a win for them.

    Regardless of your doomsday scenario, I submit that the greater chunk of America is today, enraged by the idea that AIG would sue the taxpayers that bailed them out.
