    On CO2 in an all-dirty-coal electricity location. In locations where the electricity comes from a cleaner mix (like VT, for example), literally nothing comes close to EV, because the electrical grid produces almost no CO2.

    For people who have sufficient solar, wind, or hydro capacity, EV is a ZERO-CO2 option. There is no hybrid that can do that. Period. All of them burn gas part of the time.

    As the grid moves away from coal, EV will become a no-brainer, even in the places where a hybrid is currently a better choice.
