In the race against climate collapse specifically, and ecosystemic collapse more generally, time is of the essence.

Academic specialization, institutionalized as a modern reincarnation of feudalism, continues to slow down what should instead be sped up.

The fire-walling and control and friction serve mainly to protect academic empires and subniches. In other words: disfunctional power politics.

The friction and blockage keep us from putting the pieces together. From seeing the big picture. From doing the necessary Interdisciplinary synthesis. From building momentum in solving urgent problems facing humanity.

#3: ensure network neutrality; #2: ensure electoral integrity; #1: ensure ecosystemic sustainability.
