  •  Which proposed regulations (4+ / 0-)

in the post I responded to did I not address? And I use the word "address," because I didn't "oppose" any of them. I merely listed, said "go for it," and rated the chances based on what's real in the real world.

Can't you come up with anything better than complaining about ME to bolster your arguments? I'm just a little old lady who lives on a homestead so far out in the wilderness you can't get any farther on a permanent address basis. My old shotgun is a needful tool out here, and is never going to be banned because nobody in D.C. or Raleigh would bother. Really. I've got nothing to lose in any of the gun control efforts anybody cares to launch. Except maybe a right enshrined in the original Bill of Rights, though I don't believe I'll ever see that in my lifetime.

People who don't exercise their rights don't miss them when they're gone. That's just an observed truism, because I'm observing. FWIW.

that they don't exercise is one of the key problems with this control debate.   In the vast majority of the cases, the "control", elimination, and restriction of people's rights is being sought by those who don't value those rights.   This is, at least partially, why the opposition is so intense on both sides.
