  •  Hear! Hear!!! (10+ / 0-)
9-11 was an opportunity to show greatness, instead we used it to became monsters all over again.
I was horrified from the first propaganda b.s. coming out of Dumbya's and Dickie's mouths even before the 2000 "election" where Dumbya was appointed by SCOTUS..., and damn near prostrate after 9/11 when I heard those same lying and warmongering words out of the mouths of Democrats who should have known better.  9/11 was a criminal tragedy of earth-shattering proportions committed by 19 men using boxcutters(!)..., but it was still not an act of war.

Democrats in Congress (and the president) act like they still don't realize they're regurgitating propaganda, and I still hear the crap about "troops fighting and dying for our freedoms."

    Bullshite!

The troops are fighting and dying for the sake of oil corporations, mercenary corporations (of which Halliburton is but one) and the military-industrial-congressional complex that Eisenhower warned us against.

    Period.

Democrats go right along with their Repuke "friends across the aisle" in approving bloated military budgets and non-war use of military force.  A criminal faction within one country is what the troops were going after (and then they let OBL go under orders from way up the chain of command), but otherwise neither country was ever a threat to us and they had not declared war on us.

If our president and Congress Critters are not drunk on their own power..., just how stupid do they think we are???  I know there is an extraordinary number of kool-aid drinkers (more in media than I would have thought there should be), but it seems very few people are capable of analytical thought processes and they can't see the trees for the forest.  Ugh.

I'm sick of attempts to steer this nation from principles evolved in The Age of Reason to hallucinations derived from illiterate herdsmen. ~ Crashing Vor

    •  People see. Hence, the very low ratings (4+ / 0-)

      for Congress and Media.

But where can the people see that super-majorities agree with them? For the politicians to acknowledge that all of us -- any part of the political spectrum -- know that the pols are basically crooks and imbeciles.

Any real objections to things-as-we-have-them is completely excluded from the Public Space. And if we organize enough, say like Occupy, it gets spun into a limited outbreak.

Markos! Not only are the Gates Not Crashed, they've fallen on us. Actual Representatives are what we urgently need, because we have almost none.
