    The popular vote for Assembly was D 52-46 R, a hefty margin.  The result in seats was D 39-60 R.

    Also note Reince Priebus' plot to gerrymander the Electoral College.

    Fake candidates nominated by the GOP for the recalls: 6 out of 7. Fake signatures on the recall petitions: 4 out of 1,860,283.

      a really strong gerrymandering.  Really.  It's not.  It's still close enough.

        Well, theoretically at least that's enough for a majority of majorities (with even turnout in each district, that is).

        My point though was simply that it seems ridiculous that we have to describe a 6% deficit in the popular vote as "close enough" for a majority.
